Reader worried about government bill to future generations

In yesterday’s edition of The Vicksburg Post Sid Salter is worried that if Thad Cochran is defeated, Senator Jeff Sessions will give Alabama a “huge advantage” in receipt of government spending.  Instead of contending over the last lifeboat from the Titanic, Salter should consider the debt to be paid by his children and grandchildren – if he has any – resulting from the unconscionable spending and growth of government practiced by Senator Cochran.  The bill will be paid. The currency by which future generations will pay it is a greatly diminished standard of living, and loss of personal freedom when state and federal governments confiscate more and more of their wealth.
