Sharon Laverne Havard a Vicksburg resident died Monday, June 9, 2014, at St. Dominic Hospital following a brief illness. She was 54. She was an employee of the Eaton Corporation and a member of the Locust Grove M.B. Church. She was a graduate of Vicksburg High School and Jackson State University.

She is survived by her parents, Lester J. Havard and Ester A. Havard, of Vicksburg, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services for Sharon Laverne Havard will be held Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Locust Grove M. B. Church at noon with the Rev. Robert L. Miller Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. A visitation hour will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. in the chapel on Friday, June 13.
