Jerry St. John

Jerry St. John passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Claiborne County Medical Center in Port Gibson.  She was 82.

A native of Lorman, she lived most of her life in Port Gibson. She retired in 2007 as executive vice president at River Hills Bank in Port Gibson, where she worked for 36 years.  She had a love of cooking and gardening, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson. She and her husband, Robert L. St. John, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 5.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Cliff St. John (Tina) of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson with the Rev. Michael Herrin officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Pallbearers will be James Cassell Jr., Kenny Strawn, John Lindsay Torrey, Gary Knight, Mike Mikel and Jeff Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shreve Guthrie Sr., Eddie Lipscomb, Burton Byrnes, and Lem Montgomery.

Memorials are requested for the Endowment Fund at the First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson at 605 Church St., Port Gibson, MS 39150.
