Karen Elizabeth Bottin died Monday, June 16, 2014, at her residence. She was 62.

Born in McClain, she was raised in Gulfport and had made her home in Vicksburg since 1972.

She was the former owner and operator of Bottin’s Tantastic Tanning Salon, and was also an executive host for Ameristar Casino. She attended Crossway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert R. Bottin Jr. of Vicksburg; her daughter, Amy Bottin (Blake) Allen of Vicksburg; her son, Bobby (Amy) Bottin of Vicksburg; her father, Murdock Payne of Saucier; two sisters, Vicki Rhodes of Union Town, Ky. and Pam Swilley of Gulfport; four brothers, William McLendon Jr. and Phil McLendon of Wiggins, Bobby Joe McLendon of Hattiesburg, and Michael Payne of Saucier; and four grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Bottin, Robert “Connor” Bottin, Marvin “Blakeney” Allen and Aiden Bottin Allen.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White, pastor of Crossway Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be William McLendon Jr., Bobby Joe McLendon, Phil McLendon, Michael Payne, Carl Swilley and Larry Rhodes.
