Carolyn Carson Parker died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 60.

Mrs. Carson was born Dec. 12, 1953, to Louis “LC” Parker and Ruby Carson of Vicksburg. She was a member of Belmont Missionary Baptist Church in Utica and was a 1971 graduate of Warren Central High School. She was retired from Batesville Casket Co.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curley Parker Jr.; two brothers, Nathan Carson Sr. and William Carson; and a nephew, Nathan Carson Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Sonya Griffin and Jacqueline Parker, both of Vicksburg; a son Kevin Parker of Vicksburg; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Walter Carson of Vicksburg; and two sisters, Mary J. Carson and Minnie Carson, both of Vicksburg.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Burks officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
