LORMAN — James C. Coleman died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Claiborne County Medical Center in Port Gibson. He was 71.

Mr. Coleman was a member of Popular Hill A.M.E. Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Coleman; a daughter, Latonya Coleman; and his parents.

Survivors include four daughters, Twyla Coleman of Port Gibson, Christy Coleman of Lorman, Sharon Crosby of Dallas, and Maxine Graham of Vicksburg; a brother, Rayford Williams of Fayette; a sister, Faye Ellis-Borom of Merrillville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two uncles; an aunt; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Poplar Hill A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Emery C. Cotton officiating. Burial will be at Engleside Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
