Accused cocaine dealer free on bail

A Vicksburg man accused of selling cocaine was free on bail this morning.

Anthony Qualls, 35, 104 Ash St., was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop on Grammar Street and charged with sale of cocaine, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Qualls posted $10,000 bail and was released from the Warren County Jail.

Man held for MDOC warrant

A Vicksburg man accused of violating his probation was held without bail this morning.

Edward Stowers, 65, 128 Village Drive, was arrested on a warrant for the Mississippi Department of Corrections at about 6 a.m. today by patrolman Robert Jobe, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Stowers was arrested after being involved in a disturbance this morning in the 1200 block of Cherry Street, Williams said.

He was held at police headquarters this morning.

Two held for drug court

Two Vicksburg residents were held without bail this morning for drug court.

Donna Taylor, 46, 310 Cain Ridge Road, Apt. B-2, and David Lewis, 26, 109 Hazel Drive, were held without bail this morning in the Warren County Jail for drug court sanctions.
