Helen L. Thompson died Friday, June 20, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 73.

She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. Johnson and Frances Barnes; her husband, Ledell Thompson; brother, Ernest Johnson; and sister, Linda Faye Tatum.

Survivors include two sons, Rico Thompson and Lee Andrew Thompson, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Pearline Caldwell of Indianola, and Mattie Johnson of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnnie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
