BLAIR, Okla. — Robert Earl Emerson, 55, of Blair passed away early Wednesday morning at his home.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, June 27, 2014, at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Erin Martinez officiating. Internment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Port Gibson.
A dinner will follow at 2 p.m. for those in attendance. Services and cremation have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home.
Robert Earl Emerson was born on Dec. 30, 1958, to Allen Emerson Sr. and Mary (Pharr) Emerson in Jackson. Robert served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years as a tech sergeant.
He was a veteran of Desert Storm, and worked at Altus Air Force Base as an aircraft maintenance technician until his retirement in 2013.
Robert and Amanda Reta were united in marriage on Sept. 3, 2010. He was the owner of Emerson Signs and Sheds in Blair for 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his father.
He leaves behind his wife, Amanda, of the home; mother, Mary Emerson, of Port Gibson; one son, Ronald Emerson of Blair; a daughter, Heidi Emerson, of Blair; two stepsons, Evan Cottrell of Blair, and Eric Cottrell of Lawton, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Maranda Watkins of Blair; three grandchildren, Kobie Emerson, Haley Emerson and Darian Cottrell; two brothers, Allen Emerson, Jr. and wife Donna of Pearl, and Jerry Emerson and wife Sue of Byram; and friends.
