Two arrested in cocaine bust

Two Vicksburg residents accused of selling cocaine were jailed Thursday, and one was free on bail this morning. 

Audrey Carson, 24, of 4722 Roberta Circle, was arrested at about 10 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for sale of cocaine, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

At 4:45 p.m., Deandre Royal, 31, 1512 Ethel St., was arrested at Clay and Hope streets and charged with sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine, Williams said.

Carson posted $10,000 bail and was released from the Warren County Jail.

Royal was held without bail this morning in the Issaquena County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.

 

Electronics missing in burglaries 

A slew of electronics were missing this morning after two burglaries Thursday in Vicksburg.

At 4 p.m., a Pioneer radio valued at $150 was stolen from a 2000 Lincoln Towncar in the 1400 block of Wisteria Dive.

At 11:45 p.m., an air conditioner valued at $350, a Sony surround sound system valued at $550, a Casio piano valued at $800 and a queen sized inflatable air mattress valued at $115 were reported stolen from a home on the 1100 block of Jefferson Street.

 

Man held for drug court 

A Warren County man was held without bail this morning for drug court.

Douglas Howard, 48, 5210 U.S. 61 South, was held in the Warren County for a drug court violation.
