Debra Lynn Wyatt passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014.  She was 51.

She was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and was retired from the Warren County Sheriff’s Department after 23 years of service.  She loved her job and co-workers.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Her two grandsons, Braxton and Brayson, were her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by her brother, J.W. Nevels Jr.

She is survived by her parents, J.W. Nevels Sr. and Bobbie Ship Nevels; Kirk Wyatt of Rolling Fork; her daughter, Shonda Morson (Jason); six brothers, Larry Wayne Nevels, Gary Michael Nevels, Jimmy Dale Nevels, Elvin Nevels, Richard R. Nevels, and Jerry Wayne “Dicky” Nevels; three sisters, Barbara Acuff, Cindy Emrick and Peggy Cousins; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White and the Rev. John Parks officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of the service.  Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Martin Pace, Jeff Riggs, Billy Joe Heggins, Ford Emery, Lionel Johnson, and James Brown.  Honorary pallbearers are the employees of the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and jail.
