Zulene Hampton Bell

Zulene Hampton Bell died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home following an illness. She was 80.

Ms. Bell was a retired cook for the Kentucky Fried Chicken, and was a mother and member of Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland Hampton and Lucille White; her brothers, Percy Evans and Freddy Winchester; her sisters Bernice Hampton, Gertrude Jones, Mary Jane Davis, Marie Davis, and Evelyn James Banks.

Survivors include four sons, Cleveland Hampton of Lorman, Albert Bell of West Monroe, Roscoe Bell of Ferriday, La. and Aaron Bell of Monroe; two daughters, Patricia Bell of Monroe and Edna Ross of Vicksburg; one sister, Verda Lee Smith ofVicksburg, five grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and others.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church with the Rev. David Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. Visitation is 6 to 7 p.m. Friday in the chapel.
