Dorothy Christine Brooks died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in Longview, Texas. She was 93.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Vicksburg to Solly and Christine Buck on May 3, 1921.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Aubra Brooks Sr.; daughter, Jo Ann; sisters, Amelia Mincey and Natalee Brownlee; and granddaughter, Kristen Casey Brooks.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Brooks and Butch Brooks, both of Longview; daughter, Dottie Murray of Shreveport, La.; sister Elizabeth King of Granbury, Texas; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Don Gann of Clinton and Father Tom Lalor of St. Paul Catholic Church officiating.
The family will receive friends at Fisher Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
