Thomas Lee Minton, Sr., died Friday, July 18, 2014, at his residence. 

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, he was a retired employee of Miller’s Tire Mart, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Foster Minton Sr.; his stepfather, Johnny Julio Nevels; his brother, James Foster Minton, Jr. and his niece, Betty Amanda “Mandy” Harbour Williams.

Survivors include his son, Thomas Lee Minton Jr. of Natchez; his mother, Sadie H. Nevels of Vicksburg; two brothers, Johnny Wayne Nevels and Glen Dean Nevels of Vicksburg and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at Northside Baptist Church, 4820 North Washington St., with Dr. Frank Lescallette officiating.

Glenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
