Fred Douglas Williams died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 93.

Born in Baton Rouge, La., he was a retired minister. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a stepdaughter, Clarissa Scott.
Survivors include his wife, Pearldene Williams of Vicksburg; one son, Douglas Williams of Vicksburg; a stepson, Cleveland Edwards of St. Louis, Mo.; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home will be announced at a later date.
