Christine F. Jackson died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at her home in Delhi, La. She was 72.
Mrs. Jackson was born Dec. 13, 1941, to the late Rev. Stephen H. Farrar and Eppa Farrar in Tillatobia. She was a member of St Peter A.M.E. Church in Delhi.
She received her B.S. degree from Alcorn State University in 1964, and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois in Champagne, Ill. She retired as an educator after 35 ½ years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deidre Danette Jackson; sisters, Nancy Adams and Hannah Garrett; brothers, Wesley Williams and Richard Leigh.
Survivors include her husband, David D. Jackson of Delhi; sons, Devante Jackson and Dylan Jackson both of Delhi; sister, Rosa F. Brown of Chicago; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
