Two Vicksburg women died Sunday after their vehicle slid off the road and into a dirt embankment. Andrea D. Beard, 19, 80 Fonsylvania Road, was driving eastbound on Grange Hall Road with Evelyn Sullivan, 26, Grange Hall Road, in a 2005 Nissan SUV when she lost control of the car, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said. The SUV left the south side of the roadway and ran into an embankment and a tree. The accident occurred just after 6 a.m. Sunday. The two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Accident reconstructionist Cpl. Bill Jones has been tapped to reconstruct the scene, but deputies believe it was a one-vehicle accident with no other cars involved, Pace said.
Both bodies have been transported to the State Medical Examiner in Jackson to determine the cause of death.
