Vicksburg teens jailed for separate shootings

Two Vicksburg teens were held without bail this morning in separate shootings.
De’Vonte Gary, 17, 53 Old Gibson Road was arrested at about 12:10 a.m. today and charged with two counts of aggravated assault after shooting two men at 30 Kings Drive, Apt. A, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.
A 27-year-old and a 28-year-old were wounded in the shooting. Both were taken to River Region Medical Center and later transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Kimble said. Their conditions were unavailable this morning.
Gary, who is being charged as an adult, was held without bail pending his initial court appearance.
D’Vonte King, 17, no address available, was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Friday when officers were responding to a call of shots fired in the 2700 block of Alcorn Drive, Kimble said.
King, who had a .22-caliber pistol at the time of his arrest, was charged with possession of a gun by a minor and shooting into an occupied vehicle, Kimble said.
King, who is also being charged as an adult was held without bail this morning.
