After struggling for a couple of games, Porters Chapel Academy’s offense woke up in a big way Tuesday.
Lyndsey Morgan went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and three other players had two hits apiece as the Lady Eagles hammered Tallulah Academy 15-0 to stop a two-game losing streak.
PCA (3-4) had 15 hits in the game, and scored in all four innings before the game was halted by the mercy rule. PCA scored at least four runs in three of the four innings.
Raylee Barwick went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Karley Hinson was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Savannah King had two hits. All of the Lady Eagles’ hits were singles.
Sabrina Embry was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and her sister Hannah narrowly missed a no-hitter.
Hannah Embry, a seventh-grader, allowed one infield single and hit one batter in four innings. Embry struck out one batter, didn’t walk any, and only needed 37 pitches to shut out the Lady Trojans.
