Joyce Wicker, 76, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, in Pensacola, Fla.

She was a native of Ruston, La., and lived in Vicksburg for 50 years before relocating to Pensacola.

Joyce began her employment as a school bus driver in 1986 in Warren County. In 1992, she continued her bus driving career in Pensacola until her retirement in 2004.

She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church for 22 years.

Joyce dearly loved her husband of nine years, Danny Wicker, her two children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivy and Annie Baxter; three sisters; and one brother.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband; son, Michael (Jodi) Pickett; daughter, Addie (Robert) Byers; and two sisters, Louise (Carl) Carrol and Rose Stachow.

The family will receive friends at East Brent Baptist Church today, Aug. 7, 2014, from 1 p.m. until the service at 2, with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014.
