Alfred J. Rollison

Alfred J. Rollison of Vicksburg died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 80.
Mr. Rollison loved his family more than all things. Alfred was an avid gardener and he had a great love for hunting. His special interest was his grandchildren. Alfred had a simple but profound faith that sustained him and his family throughout all his years.
Mr. Rollison was a Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He worked in the construction industry as a millwright. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annie M. Rollison of Vicksburg; a daughter, Betty LaBarre (Bob) of Vicksburg; two sons, Johnny Henderson (Candy) of Jackson, Tenn.; Billy Henderson of Vicksburg; a sister, Margie Lambert of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Rollison, his mother, Madie Smith; brothers, Henry Rollison, Kenny Rollison and a sister Elvira Carter.
Funeral services are 3 p.m. today, August 13, 2014, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Abel officiating. Burial will follow in Yokena Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brian LaBarre, Philip LaBarre, Robert LaBarre, Hunter Henderson, Miles Henderson, J.C. Gullett and Lance Gullett. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Rickles, Carlton Carlisle, Tommy Dennis, Billy Wright, J.C. Hullum and Richard Greer.
