PORT GIBSON — Thomas Pickering Ashley died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 at his home in Port Gibson.  He was 47.

Born Aug. 11, 1967, Ashley was a native and lifelong resident of Port Gibson. Ashley was a construction worker and a member of the Masonic Washington Lodge No. 3 in Port Gibson. He attended Stepping Stone Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Pickering Ashley.

He is survived by his father, Gerald L. Ashley; his sister, Christy A. Jones of Madison.

Services will be held at 11 a.m.. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Keith Garland officiating.

A visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery.
