PATTISON — Melvina Hedrick, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, in Claiborne County. She was 28.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta Franklin.

Ms. Hedrick is survived by her father, Melvin Barnes of Tillman; five sons, Travonte Townsend of Tillman; Michael Hedrick, Melik Tisdale and Christopher Hyder Jr. both of Pattison, and Rodney Ford Jr. of Vicksburg; one daughter, Khole McCay of Pattison; paternal grandmother, Ruby Barnes of Tillman; maternal grandparents, T.J. and Jessie Hedrick of Tillman; two brothers, Melvin Hedrick and Antonio Nicholas, both of Tillman; a sister, Tenesha Hedrick of Tillman; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, including two special relatives, Temika Tucker and Stefano Hedrick, both of Pattison.

Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Forrest Grove Christian Church in Pattison with the Rev. Columbus Felton officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 1 to 6 p.m., and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
