Regina James died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was 92.

Ms. James was a native of Vicksburg and moved to St. Louis in her early years. She attended public schools in Vicksburg, and attended Lively Stone Apostolic Church in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Maudie Sudor James; son, Melki James; brothers, Frank James Sr., David James Jr., Cornell James, Sonny James and Wesley James; and sister, Mary Ella Armstrong.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, including the James, Winston, Cartwright, Barnes, Williams and Kirk families.

Services will be noon on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Brisco officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill MB Church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 1 to 6 p.m., with family present from 5 to 6 p.m.
