Matilda Beatrice Ganzerla Moyer

Matilda Beatrice Ganzerla Moyer passed away Sept. 4, 2014, at Ridgeland Hospice Ministries at the age of 95.
Mrs. Moyer was born July 22, 1919, to Dante and Felicia Ganzerla in Vicksburg. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier, and was a homemaker and lovingly raised six children. She enjoyed painting, reading, and spending time with her family. She always put her children and family first.
Mother was a true lady in every aspect of her life.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Moyer; two sisters, Lennie Lashley and Grace Kirk; and one brother, Dante Ganzerla.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Richard) Troschessett of Madison, Donnie (Linda) Dick of Glen Allen, Emily (Harold, deceased) Lee of Vicksburg, Wanda (Ed) Eady of Montgomery, Ala., JoAnn (Mack) McCarthy of Vancleave, and Beverly (Mark) Robinson of Palmer, Alaska.
She was the caring, loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at St. Paul Catholic Church Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the service immediately following. Father Tom Lalor will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Conner McCary, Gary Jones, Rodgers Coffing, Mack McCarthy, Jr., Steven Snow, and Donald Ganzerla, and Richard Troschessett.
