Margaret V. Reed died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Community Place Nursing Home in Jackson. She was 71.

A former resident of Edwards, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Reed Jr.

Survivors include relatives and friends, including Deloris Reed of Baton Rouge, La.

A private burial was held at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.
