BRANDON — Sherry Lamb Tanner, age 67, passed away at St. Dominic’s Hospital, on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014.

Sherry was born April 6, 1947, in Vicksburg to Laimon Lyal Lamb and Mary Evelyn Ray Lamb.

Sherry loved her family and friends, and she was so proud of all her grandchildren. It was a great comfort to her to be able to keep up with everyone on Facebook. She will be remembered as a kind, loving spirit. She always had a place at her table for anyone that had nowhere to go during the holidays.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Timothy Graves; brothers, Keith Ray Lamb, Larry Lamb and Cecil Staggs.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Michael Tanner of Vicksburg; daughter, Shannon Jordan Whitehead (Woody) of Vicksburg; son, Gary Michael Jordan (Jamie) of Brandon, Chad Tanner of Vicksburg; daughter-in-law, Stacey Flowers Graves; brother, Brent Lamb (Sylvia) of Vicksburg; sister, Debra Lamb Lindsey (Rodney) of Vicksburg; brother, Lyle Lamb of North Platte, Neb.; grandchildren, Michael Graves (Samantha), Cody Graves, Brett Whitehead, Mary Paige Whitehead Butler (Brandon), Kaelyn Whitehead (Dakota), Hannah Hampton, Brennan Singleton, Kennedy Jordan, Reagan Jordan; two great-grandchildren; uncle, Arville Turner Ray; nieces, nephews and cousins; and a best friend, Dean McClurg.

A memorial service will be held in Brandon.
