Marjorie Guiney

Marjorie Guiney passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014.  She was 87.

Born in Pattison on March 3, 1927, she spent most of her life in Vicksburg.  She was retired from the Vicksburg Clinic after 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray Hynum and Pauline Mitchell Hynum; her husband, Edward Guiney; her sister, Lavonne Ingrams; and her brothers, James Hynum, Paul Hynum, and Allan Hynum.

Survivors include her daughters, Alaine Moore (Bob) of Orlando, Fla., and Ginger Guiney of Canton, Ga.; her son, Edward Eugene Guiney Jr. (Glynda) of Houston, Texas; her granddaughters, Kristin McClees (Ed) and Sheryl Forbes (Scott), both of Houston, Texas, and Cristina Gonzalez of Canton, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Catherine and Abigail McClees and Ethan and Isaac Forbes; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at Glenwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
