Services for Charles Wade Schaeffer Jr. will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Barrett Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Schaeffer died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at is home. He was 58. He was retired from Hinds Community College and was a member of Mount Olive M. B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Hill Schaeffer, and his sister Dorothy Schaeffer.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Tolliver Schaeffer of Vicksburg; two daughters, Melinda Tolliver and Lisa Howard, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Lafayette Smith of Chicago; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
