PORT GIBSON — Frank Dobbins died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 76,
Mr. Dobbins was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church.  He retired from the Claiborne County School District as assistant principal at Port Gibson High School.  He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, Alcorn Alumni and a veteran of the Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Dobbins Sr. and Julia Smith-Dobbins; a brother, Joseph Dobbins Jr.; a sister, Josephine Hosey and a nephew, Dwayne Hosey.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Dobbins of Port Gibson; a son, Sandus Dobbins of Clinton; a grandson; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Kevin Winters officiating. Burial will be at Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery in Port Gibson under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.
Visitation will be Monday, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, and Tuesday at the church from 10a.m. until the service.
