Burned-out business burglarized

Items were reported stolen Tuesday from a Vicksburg business damaged in an arson fire Sunday.

At 1:15 p.m., the owner of Sun Beauty Supply, 1500 Clay St., reported that a 40-inch Samsung television and a refrigerator were stolen from the burned-out business, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Employees of the business were searching to see if anything else was missing, Williams said.

The building was damaged in an arson fire at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Vicksburg fire investigator Leslie Sanders has said.

The building received substantial damage and most of the contents were destroyed, Sanders said.

Entertainment items missing from Cherry Street

More entertainment items were reported missing Tuesday from the 700 block of Cherry Street.

At 8:45 a.m., Tuesday an entertainment center valued at $300, a BluRay sound system valued at $500 and a Fender acoustic guitar valued at $100 were reported missing from a home on Cherry, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

On Sunday, a laptop, two tablet computers, and 70 video games were reported stolen from a home in the 700 block of Cherry.
