Talbert “Tab” Buford died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. He was 84.

Born and reared in Ackerman, he lived most of his life in Warren County.

He retired from the U.S. Government Fleet Service where he was a supervisor. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the 31st “Dixie” Division, and attended Wayside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Buford of Vicksburg; son, Tim Buford of Vicksburg; his sister, Dattie Hughes of Vicksburg; two brothers, Jasper Buford of Louisiana and Pete Buford of Vicksburg; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. today, November 13, 2014, at Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Fields officiating.
