Margaret “Peggy” Brister Potts

Margaret “Peggy” Brister Potts of Lake Village, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at her home.  She was 81.

Mrs. Potts was born in Vicksburg on Oct. 10, 1933.  She was the daughter of Samuel Henry Brister and Lucille Richard Brister, and a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Catholic School.

Peggy married Robert Louis Potts, making their home in Vicksburg. She was employed with Waterways Experiment Station until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Michael Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1957; and her son, Robert “Robby” Louis Potts Jr.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Edward Potts (Lori) of Delaware, Ark.; a daughter, Cindy Elliott (Bill) of Lake Village, Ark.; a sister, Gertrude Brister Lyons of Vicksburg; six grandchildren, Billy Eilliot, Ryan Elliott, Bobby Elliot, Robby Potts, David and Kristen Potts; and one great-grandchild, Tinnin Potts.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Lalor officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
