James Frank “Jimmy” Flowers of Vicksburg died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 52.

Mr. Flowers was the son of James Thurman Miles and Eva J. Brown Miles. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union in Vicksburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Flowers; son, J.T. Flowers; daughter, Samantha Nicole Flowers; his mother; sister, Karen Rose Bradshaw; grandparents, Jay Frank Brown Jr. and Helen R. Brown, and Thurman Miles and Syble Miles.

Survivors include two daughters, Joni Marie Winters of Eudora, Ark., and Alicia Flowers; his father; two sisters, Stacey Ann Graves of Vicksburg and Kimberly Miles Wilbourn of Texas; a brother, Joseph Mathew Flowers of La.; two aunts; two uncles; and nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
