PATTISON — Alvin B. Turner died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Nursing Center, He was 63.

He was a shipyard welder.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edwyne Turner Foster; stepfather, Booker T. Foster; two brothers, Edward Foster and Quentin Foster; two aunts; and his grandparents.

Survivors include three brothers, Donald Foster, Alford Foster and Gregory Foster, all of Chicago; five sisters, Norma Robinson of Jackson, Partricia Wilson and Marilyn Moore, both of Port Gibson, Mary Foster of Chicago, Charmine Kent; and other relatives and friends.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Pattison with the Rev. Carl Devine officiating. Burial will follow at Mercy Seat Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Port Gibson.

Visitation is today from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
