Funeral services for John L. McClendon Jr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Second Union Cemetery.

Mr. McClendon died Friday, Nov. 29, 2014, at his home after a sudden illness. He was 69.

He was retired and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Emma Neal McClendon Sr.; his brothers, Charles McClendon and Essex McClendon; sisters, Alice McClendon, Dorothy McClendon and Fannie McClendon.

Survivors include a daughter; brothers, Eddie McClendon of Vicksburg and Robert Neal of Florida; sister, DeAnn Ford of Las Vegas; and nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
