Mary Louise McMahon

Mary Louise McMahon died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at River Region Medical Center. She was 89.
Born Claiborne County, she had been a resident of Vicksburg most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Matthew Landers and Mary Lela Ivey Landers.
She retired from Cooper Lighting Company in 1988. Mrs. McMahon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great- great grandmother.  She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church where she was devoted to young children through the years.
She is survived by her husband Gillis C. McMahon of Vicksburg; two daughters Shirley Love and Jewel Dougherty (Benny), nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; five brothers Samuel M. Landers, Jr., Willard R. Landers (Mavis), E. Morris Landers (Vera), Harvey E. Landers, and Charles B. Landers.
In addition to her parents a son Gillis Wade McMahon and a grandson Jessie Wayne Vinson preceded her in death.
Services will be held noon Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at Wayside Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Williams and Reverend Tony Monk officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Wayside Baptist Church, 6151 Jeff Davis Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Landers, Roy Landers Cody McMahon, Jay Dougherty, Chad Dougherty and Marion “Bubba” Love.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends at Wayside Baptist Church.
