Lt. Drue A. Randolph

DELHI, La.—Lt. Drue A. Randolph, 47, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident in Delhi.

Drue was born Oct. 14, 1967, in Vicksburg and lived in the Vicksburg/Delhi area his entire life. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi.  He enjoyed playing soccer and swimming competitively with the Vicksburg Swim Association as a youth. He was a beloved son, brother, husband and friend. Most of all, he was a devoted father and lived his life for his two boys.

He was an avid online gamer. Drue was a decorated lieutenant with the Vicksburg Fire Department, where he served for 25 years as a fireman and an EMT/Paramedic. He was a hazardous materials technician and a member of the dive rescue team. He earned numerous certifications and accommodations/awards during his service as a firefighter. He also worked as an EMT/Paramedic for Northeast Louisiana Ambulance Service for 14 years.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Parker Randolph of Crowville; his two sons, Zach and Mack Randolph of Flowood; his mother and father, Don and Patty Randolph of Tallulah; his sister, Shari Stanfill of Tallulah; his sister, Perian Bufkin (Bully) of Vicksburg; his brother, David Randolph (Erin) of Vicksburg; three nephews, Shawn Clack, Gabe Bufkin, and Drue Randolph; and three nieces, Kayte Randolph, Grace Bufkin, and Hailey Randolph.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Grace Randolph, and Bert and Nina Vincent.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Vicksburg with Bro. Jason McGuffie officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Members of Vicksburg Fire Department, and the Mississippi Fire Academy Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made in memory of Drue Randolph to the Vicksburg Fire Department or an autism charity of your choice.
