Funeral services for Eddie Henry Ford Jr. will be noon Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Jackson Street M.B Church with the Rev. John Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Visitation is today from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Ford died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2015, at River Region Medical Center. He was 67.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Jackson Street M.B. Church, where he as an usher. He was a member of the Tyner Ford Post 213 of the American Legion and the St. Paul Lodge No. 112 AF & AM Mason where he as a 32-degree mason. He was also active in the Israel Shriner Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Henry and Mary Allison Ford Sr.; and his brother Elbert Akbar Ford.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Ford of Vicksburg; sons Eddie H. Ford III, Wesley Smith and Benjamin Smith, all of Vicksburg; daughters, Tina Ford, Kimberly Bunch, Ashley Smith and Melinda Smith, all of Vicksburg; a sister, Beverly Ford Brown of Trenton, N.J.; a brother, Freddie Ford of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
