Reader thankful for Good Samaritan

Dear editor,
Earlier this week I lost my wallet, let the nightmare of the endless replacement process begin. Until late that afternoon I received a phone call that my wallet had been found! A man, named Willie that works at Waterways, happened to find it and went out of his way to make sure my wallet along with all of the contents in it were returned to me. So I am writing this letter today to extend my thank you to Willie.
Dear Willie,
You made my day Wednesday with one kind act of yours and for that I must thank you. We don’t know each other, but that did not prevent you from helping me.
First, I want to thank you for being so thoughtful, for taking the time to pick up a fallen possession of someone else, for putting in the efforts to call my place of work, the City of Vicksburg, and seeking help with other employees that work for the city to find me and ensure that my wallet was returned. Also, a special thank you to Debra, from Parks and Recreation, for your willingness to get in touch with me, and relaying the message to me for Willie!
Also, I want to make a note of how this experience has reassured me that Vicksburg is full of nice people! One selfless deed of yours is enough to reassure me of my belief that, in general, people are helpful and trustworthy.
Thank you for your honesty, integrity, and willingness to put forth the effort to find me.
