Tim Sumrall

Tim Sumrall died Jan. 12, 2015, at his home. He was 56.

Born in Baldwin, he had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1980. Tim had been employed by Nationwide Insurance Co. since 1980. He was one of the founders of the Exchange Club of Vicksburg, a member of the Jaycees, and active in community service.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman especially devoted to fishing and hunting. He was a member of Crossway Church where he served as a deacon and leader of the greeter ministry.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne J. Sumrall; one daughter, Jennifer Hopkins (Jason); one son, Timothy Sumrall II (Whitney); seven grandchildren, Luke Hopkins, Lydia Hopkins, Mary Lawsen Hopkins, Emma Hartman Sumrall, Clayton Sumrall, Owen Sumrall, Linus Sumrall; mother, Dorothy Sumrall; and two brothers, Rick Sumrall (Nancy) and Jimmy Sumrall (Leeann).

He is preceded in death by his father Roy Clayton Sumrall.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Crossway Church with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crossway Church.
