PORT GIBSON — James Earl “Squirrel” Hicks of Port Gibson died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Claiborne County Medical Center. He was 52.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Whitney; a brother, Danny Ray Hicks; and a niece, Frances Barnes.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Barnes; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Rising Sun Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Brookhaven.

Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the service.
