Billy Gene “Bill Weaver died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was 79.

Bill was born July 9, 1935 in Des Arc, Ark., the eldest child of the late Lee and Marie Weaver.  He retired in 1995, after working 39 years for the FAA as an Electronic Specialist.  Bill loved to hunt, fish and anything outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jean Marie Weaver; daughter, Donna Pollard of Auburn, Ga.; two sons, Mitchell Weaver (Elizabeth), also of Auburn, Ga., and Michael Weaver (Beth) of Fairburn, Ga.; an aunt, Ethel Weaver, of Waco, Texas; two brothers, Donny Weaver (Virginia) and James Weaver (Bernedette) both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Carolyn Childs, of Arkansas, and Margie Hatcher (Hayes, of Pascagoula); eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Flowers; and son-in-law, Wayne Pollard.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 20, 2015 at the Pavilion at the Mississippi Veteran’s Cemetery in Newton.
