Archie Noel Johnson died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Covenant Health & Rehab of Vicksburg. He was 49.

Mr. Johnson was the third child born to the late Edward Johnson Sr. and Mrs. Adleine McCoy Johnson in Vicksburg, and was a member of Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Vicksburg High School, where he was actively involved with the JROTC as well as other extracurricular activities.

Besides his father, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Johnson.

Survivors include his mother; three brothers, Edward Johnson, David Johnson and Keith Johnson, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Mary Ann Johnson Yelder, Cherry Johnson and Betty Matthews, all of Vicksburg; and nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Greater Grove Street M.B. Church with the Rev. Dr. Casey D. Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
