Funeral services for Phlandis Younger Sr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Triumphant M.B. Church with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Younger, of Vicksburg, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at his home. He was 81.

He was retired from Anderson Tully Lumber Mill and was a member of Triumphant M. B. Church, where he served as a church deacon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Younger, and mother Ruby Sanders; and his brother, Roscoe Younger Sr.

Survivors include his four sons, Phlandis Younger Jr. of Los Angeles, Rhodell Younger of Kansas City, Kan., James Younger of Seattle and Alonzo Younger of Louisiana; four daughters, Mary Williams, Herticine Younger, Lisa Younger and Terry Younger, all of Seattle; four brothers, Felix Younger and Hoover Younger, both of Vicksburg, and Charlie Younger and Eddie Younger, both of Jackson; his sister, Evelyn Campbell of Fontana, Calif.; 32 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
