PORT GIBSON — Benjamin Albert Brown died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at his home. He was 52.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Flora Truitt-Brown; two brothers, Arthur L. Washington and Johnny Brown; and two sisters, Rachel Brown and Claudine Washington.

Survivors include four brothers, James Washington of Fayette, Richard Brown Jr. of Tucker, Ga., Billy Ray  Brown of Mending, La., and Eddie Brown of Port Gibson; five sisters, Ada Williams, Christine Washington, Sadie Wilson, Mary Brown and Florene Derby, all of Port Gibson; three aunts; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Magnolia M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Hugh Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Mercy Seat Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.
