The big question of the day is where are the sites for the new recreational complex to be considered?

I have a question for the residents of both Vicksburg and Warren County, what would you think of a location with 260 acres that is fairly level, located on a 4 lane highway that is already owned by the City of Vicksburg.

This true to life location offers services that both the city and county own a share of and contribute taxpayer funds for upkeep that could take care of services used by less than one percent of the entire Warren County population if the City Fathers so desired.

I offered this suggestion to a previous mayor and was blown off at even suggesting such a proposal.

Startup of laying out the fields could start as soon as the current occupants could get their equipment moved from this city property.

If you are motivated to back this low cost solution, please contact both your city board and the county board of supervisors.

Also remember we have leaders running for supervisors that could make this a reality. I suggest using the City of Vicksburg Airport, it previously also was used as a public golf course,many years ago.

I offer this as a win win solution that could result in sports being played by summer if this is supported.
