EDWARDS — Curtis “G” Antonio Cooks of Edwards died March 2, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 39.

He was educated through the Hinds County School System.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and fraternal grandparents; one sister; uncles; and an aunt.

Survivors include his mother, Gertha C. Ponce of Kansas City, Mo.; father, James White of Edwards; son, Shuntrell Cooks; brothers, Jaunito Ponce and Desmond Ponce of Kansas

City, Mo., George Wright Jr. of Jackson, and Jerry Reed of Vicksburg.

Services will be noon Saturday, March 7, at St. Paul MB Church, 5608 Smith Station Road in Edwards.

Visitation is today from 1 to 7 p.m. at Willis and Sons Funeral Home 5235 Robinson Road Extension, Jackson.
