Alexis Beth “Lexi Beth” Wright died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson. She was 6.

Lexi Beth is the daughter of Kevin Chase Wright and Kristen Paige Lee Wright. During her brief life she touched many hearts and is the personification of the word love in all she met.

In addition to her parents she is survived by a sister, Madaline “Maddy” Wright; her maternal grandmother, Debra Lee Edwards; her maternal grandfather, Shane Sims; maternal step-grandfather, John Edwards; and paternal grandparents, J. W. “Bill” Wright Jr. and Peggy Sue Elizabeth Wright; and aunts, uncles and special cousins.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Riles Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Hollowell officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan McMillian, Clint Buchanan, Jamey Buchanan, Lindsey Wright, Chad Harrell and Michael Hollowell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dusty Wright, Bobby McMillian, Anthony Thornton, Clay Griffin, James Whittington, Eddie Hollowell, James Buchanan, John Elfer, Anthony James, Martin Pace, James Davidson, John Heggins and Jeff Riggs.

The family wishes to thank Lexi Beth’s special nurses, Amanda McMillian and Missy Buchanan for their loving care. Thanks also to the Blair E. Batson Palliative Care, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and especially Dr. Richard Boyte for their tender and personal kindness to Lexi Beth during her illness.
