Bobby Gene Johnson died Monday, April 20, 2015, at William Child Hospice House in Palm Bay, Fla. He was 84.

Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Red Hill. He was a longtime resident of Vicksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Powell Johnson and Samuel Jones Johnson; brothers, David Johnson and Barksdale Johnson; sister, Virginia Prejen; son, Ronnie Johnson; and grandson, Benjamin Johnson.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby Gene Johnson Jr. and Brandon Johnson of Denham Springs, La., and Collin Johsnon of Oxford; three daughters, Lisa Gemmill of Indialantic, Fla., Courtenay Johnson Yeager of St. Louis and Caitlin Johnson of Vicksburg; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
